It’s amazing the advances that have been made, simply in the last 40 years. Computers have gone from taking up the entire floor - or more - of an office building, down to devices that are smaller than your lap and weigh less than the average woman’s purse. A communicator like the one Captain Kirk used on ‘Star Trek: The Original Series’ seemed to be a small, glorified walkie-talkie that was pooh-poohed to never work, yet today we have cellular phones that are smaller than the good captain’s communicator, with plenty of additional options.
