For as long as I can remember, the Acer Aspire One netbook has been on the top of the netbook bestseller’s charts. There were times where it even overtook the Asus Eee netbook in sales. Here is a short list on some of the features that has attributed to the success of the Acer Aspire One netbook.
1.Price: At the time this article was written, the Acer netbook retails for around $299 a piece, making it one of the cheapest netbooks in the market. Despite its price, this model has almost identical specs with the more expensive models. It has a 1.6GHz processor, 160GB of hard drive space and 1GB of RAM. To top it up, it also has a very stylish design. I personally feel that it looks better than many other netbook models in the market.
2.Design: The Acer Aspire One comes in a variety of colors, namely, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, black and white. Depending on the model that you are buying, there may be several other colors to choose from. It has a glossy surface with the Acer logo etched on a corner. In recent years, Acer has made so many improvements in its hardware’s aesthetics and that is evident in its netbook model. The Acer Aspire One is just one of the best-looking netbooks out there.
3.Great Performance: The Acer Aspire One performs well when it comes to computing tasks. For one, the 10.1-inch model has a brilliant LCD screen that can display images and videos at a 1024 x 600 resolution. The speakers are located below the netbook. They produce very good quality, especially when placed on a solid surface. The keyboard was also extremely comfortable to type on for its size. The combination of competent specs, great performance, good design and an even better price tag makes the Acer Aspire One irresistible. From the looks of it, this tiny little powerhouse is here to stay!

Design: The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA offers a slim, tapered design along with a six-cell battery. This translates to a slightly thicker and heavier body, all in black or blue and a glossy surface finish. Nevertheless, the extra weight is negligible, especially in the light of its amazing battery life. The flat, wide keyboard is comfortable with a full-size right ‘Shift’ key. The touch pad comes with a wrist rest and is quite responsive with a quick-access button above the keyboard for disabling the touch pad. The netbook offers a 10.1-inch back-lit LED display at 1024×600 native resolution, which uses less power. The actual netbook measures at 10.3 by 7.1 inches with a height of 1.1 to 1.4 inches and a weight of 2.9 pounds.
Specifications: Specification-wise, the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA runs on a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor with 1GB of RAM (533MHz DDR2). With a 160GB 5400rpm hard drive the netbook offers plenty of space. It uses the Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset with integrated Mobile Intel GMA 950 and the system runs on Windows XP. The hard disk drive is augmented by a free 10GB online data storage subscription for backing up files to a remote server. Connection-wise the netbook offers a VGA port, headphone/microphone jacks, three USB 2.0 ports, an RJ-45 Ethernet LAN port and an integrated card reader. The netbook connects via wired LAN, wireless 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth.
Features & Performance: Processing and multitasking speed was pretty good on the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA, but one of the star attraction of this model would have to be its battery life. With an impressive 6 hours and 53 minutes battery life for nonstop video playback on a single charge, the netbook lasts even longer for other basic tasks. Asus claims that the batteries can last up to 10.5 hours on a single charge. I often use it to view YouTube videos, word processing and replying e-mails. Thus far, the battery life has average around 8-9 hours, which is still extremely impressive by any standards. All in all, the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA is an awesome netbook for the corporate and high-end user. Due to its amazing battery life and good storage capacity it should benefit most mobile road warriors greatly while average users will have an even longer time to stay online without having to look for a spare power socket.
